Just before the trip

I joined the trip organised by the Muslim Welfare House and Islamic Society to Middleton in Teesdale. The journey to the place was very beautiful and there were signs saying welcome to North Pennines, The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which I totally agree.

The main reason is High Force, the highest and possibly largest waterfall in England. Not as high as those waterfall in the US or Europe.

We went to explore the whole route as Abang Hafizuddin provided us with the map of that place and we managed to see a lot more than just the waterfall. It was quite hard for him and his wife as both of them have to carried another being, Akim and the little lady, 3 month old.

Akim was enjoying himself and he was having a lot of fun

Dewsbury: A short trip

Newcastle train station

As my uncle flew all the way from Malaysia to London, I felt that it is very important for me to go and visit him even though I only knew about it at the last minute. Doing something at the last minute has its own repercussion as you may well guess.

I left Newcastle on the afternoon of Saturday the 25th and return to Newcastle on the next day. Friends in Manchester were kind enough to be the host and I realised that I should have stayed in Leeds because it is much closer to Dewsbury. I was supposed to meet my uncle in Dewsbury, in the Europe's tabligh markaz.

It is a huge mosque and I was lucky to be amongst the thousand of people who gather from all around the UK for the annual gathering for brothers who went out for four months. Sadly, I couldn't take any photos as they do not allowed any photography in the mosque.

Another family day in Newcastle which I managed to join. It was a gloomy day and the threat of heavy rain was impending as we had experience a heavy stormy rain on the day of our BBQ.

But Alhamdulillah, Allah gave us the opportunity to conduct the whole family day program without any problem and everybody enjoyed it thoroughly.

Achievement for this year, winning the sepak takraw game. Hahaha..

And finally, I spent two interrupted days in Leicester. Nevertheless, I manage to cover most of Leicester's town and people that I need to see as there are very few people in Leicester and not that many places to see.

I must apologize to Sid and his housemate for not spending the night in their house and also I need to thank Fathi and Imran for their utmost hospitality during my stay in Leicester.

On my way back to Newcastle, I met a new friend called Benjamin. He's only five and I met him on the train from York to Newcastle. We chat all the way to Newcastle and he has considered me as his friend. He wanted to stay and play with me in Newcastle, but his mommy said that he has no time and need to return to Cramlington straight after reaching Newcastle.

As I left the train from the other door, I continued watching Benjamin and I saw him turning around looking for me.. aahh.. maybe next time Ben...
